Buyer Beware!

Thought I'd let you know about a company that I just had a bad experience with. I came across them on a Google search for some L3i parts for my CZ 457 22lr. They had all the parts that I was wanting to buy in stock, but their prices were extremely low compared to what actual retail should be.
They offered free shipping over $60 purchase, and also took PayPal. That is the only reason that I gave them a chance.

I ordered $95.50 worth of stuff, and paid through PayPal. Everything seemed to be legit. Then I got an email from PayPal that the seller changed my total to $107.00. At first, I thought no biggie it's just a few extra $$, but when I looked on my PayPal account, the posting wasn't from the company, it was an individual.
I thought that was strange. Then, I never received an itemized receipt, nor any shipping info from them. After 5 days, I tried emailing the person with the email that PayPal had, and also another email that was on the website. No response.

I then contacted PayPal and filed a complaint on them. PayPal has already issued me a full refund of $107.00.

The name of this company is sportfirearmshop.com. Buyer Beware!

PayPal will ALWAYS refund. They are 100% PRO-Buyer. To a fault, in fact! A buyer can receive ALL the items of an order, but still complain to PayPal & LIE they didn’t receive the order. Unless the seller can document a SIGNED shipping receipt, the buyer will receive a DISHONEST refund. I stopped using PayPal altogether because I heard of this happening too often.

Glad you didn’t lose money Tx. Hopefully you have no trouble getting the parts you need.

There's been a lot of these websites that pop up with ridiculous prices on a variety of rare or niche products, no apparent history, and literally everything is on sale in the 60-80% off range. They'll be set up with just enough effort to look clean and legit, claim they're listed on Trustpilot, but then if you try to find them ya get nothing. Between them and the AI generated product review pages, it's discouraging trying to find stuff on the net these days. :cautious:

Absolutely I agree! When a deal looks too good to be true, it IS!

Remember a few years back when we couldn’t get primers, powder, bullets or loaded ammunition? I remember during that time, often coming across a sight that would list EVERYTHING In Stock, regardless of all the trusted sights like Midway USA, Brownells, Sportsman, Natches, Graf & Sons, etc., ALL being out of stock for like 2 years! Yeah, complete SHAM sites! Places looking to rip off unsuspecting, overly trusting buyers. It’s sad there are so many SCUMBAGS out there!

I've seen so many on different gun sites. As we gain more members and new classifieds posted, we cant avoid it but please report when there are suspicious accounts and site being promoted.
