72 deg with a very light breeze. Had to start off the precision rifle for the April session. Savage 110 .308 in MDT chassis, X-caliber 26" 1/10 barrel. Scope is March Majesta. Ammo handloaded 110 Sierra in new Lapua brass over 46 gn of Varget. Shot off front rest and rear bag. Fire forming on new brass is a real Hoot. 100-8x. Whatta Hobby!

Scope is great. I know a couple of clicks of elevation is needed, but this was just to get out and fire form some new Lapua brass. Had to share the nice day in CT. Today is rainy and windy with 36 deg temps. Good day to take the dog to the vet for a checkup and then get in some time on the loading bench. Whatta Hobby!

How have your interactions with X-Caliber been? I have been eyeing them for a new barrel but it's hard to get time sensitive feedback. McGowan is apparently trying to make changes for the better but has had some missteps. There seem to be a decent number of premium makers who chamber in common competition rounds, but not as many that also do odd, exotic, or straight up wildcat cartridges.

Only ordered from the once, but had no problems with that. I would order again. Whatta Hobby!
