Well howdy new member saying hello. What is your Savage rifle experience? Already own any? Looking to get your first?

What is your Savage rifle experience? Already own any?

Although I have previously owned other Savage products (a 10ML, a Model 24 and a couple of Model 64F rifles) I currently own only one Savage product, a Savage 93G in .22 WMR. It is the wood-stocked version and the stock seems to be a near perfect fit for me. It wears an old Nikon Prostaff 4x fixed power rifle scope. Although I would like more magnification than a 4X, preferably a 2-7 or a 3-9, it will do for the time being. It was in the safe and I didn't have to go into my humble wallet to buy a new scope.

It is fairly new, I don't think I have put more than 40 or 50 rounds down range. It does seem to me that the bolt is hard to close. Not fore and aft but when I cam the bolt down. I hope this will ease and bolt closure will become easier as shooting goes on. I don't find the bolt operation to be "butter smooth" but maybe that will improve with shooting as well.

It is an accurate rifle, as I expected it would be. Part of my motivation for buying the rifle was Savage's reputation for accurate barrels.

Hello from SE Idaho. It seems like the rimfire rifles take a bit of breaking in, but can otherwise clean up nicely over time.

I don't know about the world but it covers much of the South. Fast growing. I believe it was originally imported from Japan or Asia to control erosion. I have seen it cover abandoned structures, farm houses, outbuilding and such. I am surprised no one has made some sort of a Sci Fi/horror movie about it covering Atlanta.

It is in fact edible. I understand cows love it but that's only hearsay. I admit no cow has told me such directly.

I do know that there are entrepreneurs who rent/deliver goats to eat kudzu on tracts where it can't be mowed.
