Happy to see a forum dedicated to Savage. I love my Savage rifles for the fact that they're of modular design and VERY easy to unscrew those rough mediocre factory barrels and replace with a quality prefit in just minutes right at home with a couple hand tools and a vise. I shoot an old 110FP that I have factory , Proof and Criterion barrels for. In 308W and 6BR. Also a M12 LRPV with 204R and 223R barrels. Both are consistently at half MOA or under. Great rifles that can hang with the high dollar rigs and considering what they cost, I think even better.

Welcome! Ive actually had great luck with the factory barrels over the years, but then quarter sized groups at 100 makes me happy. I’ll leave the dimes to you guys.
