As my Impulse journey continues I learn more about the Impulse rifle platform as others take notice of it's attributes and start customizing them too.
Jard stepped up in a big way by adding an aftermarket trigger assy for the Impulse.
Once I found out about the Jard trigger in July of 25, I put an order in for one to do some testing.
The Jard single stage trigger assy comes with three choices of pull weights and a straight trigger
Since my rifles are used for hunting, I got the trigger within the 2lb pull weight setting and set it at 1-3/4 lbs.
While the accutrigger works and I've never had a problem with them functioning, I prefer a trigger without the blade safety.

Between NY states 2024 and 2025 predator seasons I burnt a lot of powder testing the QC switch barrel capabilities and the Jard trigger.
At the time I had two predator rifles, so I added changing rifle components to the testing procedure too.
I swapped every easily changed component on the rifles.
Bolt's, bolt heads, barrel assy's, stocks, right to left and left to right bolt handle swaps without a single malfunction.
I would not have one concern if I needed to swap a component on the rifles.
I also wanted to try another style stock for 2025, So I added a Boyds Pro varmint stock with Adj cheek piece.
Did a lot of projo testing and settled on using the Hammer HHT .20 cal 40gr projos for 2025.
I added a rattle can nightshade tiger stripe pattern to the stock, sold the X50 and bought a Rix S60R 1280 res scope.

In early 2022 Savage introduced the Impulse Elite Precision rifle that uses the MDT ACC chassis.
Since it's debut I've been contacting MDT to get ahold of one, but they won't sell one because they have a proprietary contract with Savage.
Savage won't sell one either, so the only way I was going to get one was to buy one.
In late 2025 I put one on layaway.
