I've got a 26" Shilen incoming for my 12 VLP in 300WSM ... I couldn't decide between regular and ratchet rifling, so I figured I'd let them surprise me!

LOL! That’s nothing.. The last barrel I purchased from NSS, I’m on the phone with James, going over what I wanted, and it was funny. Now I get it, James only knows me for the few barrels I’ve ordered from him, so I understand he probably is in the habit of treating most everyone like greenhorns. Anyway, he’s reading off the specs after I tell him I want a 28” 260AI Target throat, and says, “1:8, I imagine?”. To which I reply, “No, 1:7.5 actually.” Next he’s says, “11° Crown?” And again I utter, “no… Recessed Target.” Anyhoo, I’m sure my barrel sheet musta looked odd as well, to some. But, different strokes.

I've got a similar receipt, spun the barrel on about 10days ago.
