Cabela's sale 223 rifle. Replaced the stock with a Boyds stock and installed a Timney trigger. Millet glass used for 5/22/26 223 group. Vortex Viper glass used for 7/3/26 223 group. I think the glass made the difference. The 6.5X55 group is from a Savage action. These are my current 500-yard loads.

It’s always a pleasure hearing about groups at or below 1MOA, from a distance of 500yds or more. It such a different scenario than the normal 100yds. There is a misconception that say .5moa at 100yds, will translate to .5moa at 200yds, at 400yds, at 500yds, 1000yds & so on. Not always the case though. So, it’s refreshing to see someone put the work in doing so and getting exquisite results.

223 holding SUB-MOA @ 500yds is no slouch! And your 6.5x55 able to turn out SUB-1/2”MOA @ 500yds with 4rds is superb!👍 Your Savage in 6.5x55.. that a Model 110 I’m guessing? Years back I came very close to building a 6.5x55. However, I ended up doing a 260Rem instead. Couple years ago, I rebarreled for 260AI.
