I don't know what a sticky bolt means. But my Mosin now has a 2.2 lb trigger pull average out of 5 pulls. I changed out the firing pin spring. With a hand gun recoil spring.

Sticky bolt happens for two reasons:

First, low-quality cases may stick in the chamber after firing,

and

Second, and more common in my experience, rebuilt Mosins often didn't have the bolt camming surfaces fit correctly and the bolt is hard to cock.

My 1891 Argentine Mauser was a bear to cock. After i changed the pin spring in it. It's real nice to cock now.

I have not.

The recoil comes from a short length-of-pull, and I run a butt extension of some sort for that reason. In this pic, I believe it was a Limbsaver recoil pad:

The one I settled on for a long time was one of those generic hard rubber ones that screwed on and replaced the buttplate.

That muzzle brake is quite modern for a Mosin.

Just be careful with putting modern parts on the Mosin Nagant it’s far too easy to fall down the Rabbit Hole of Bubba’doom!

And those are but a taste! When I think of a proper Mosin Nagant 91/30, I think of this. Now it’s a very handsome historic rifle.

Lengthen the pull?? How tall are Coal? I’m 6’4”, and actually find myself keeping to a more compact hold. (Shorter LOP)

My AR15s I adjust the stock only one click out from fully collapsed. And my Model 10 Chassis I have only halfway.

Im short. 5'6 1/2 inches. I was 5'8''. But you get shorter as you age.
