Could we have such a sun forum?
A general sub forum for other makes of guns possible?

What are you thinking? Like another section open to ALL other firearms, excluding Savage? Or were you thinking of something specific?
I think another “Everything” section would be good. An AR/AK, or better yet, a Semi Auto Rifle section would be good. As well as Other than Savage Bolt Action section. I know many of us have many other firearms to discuss. Also, I’m sure others here have firearms expertise beyond Savage as well.

Why? Other forums exist for most of these other makes and/or models.

For many of us, it’s good to speak about of at least more than one of our firearm on ONE forum. Speaking for myself, I HATE going to multiple Forums. Although I have been a member of near countless Forums, I generally have only taken part in one or two at a time. When I was younger, I would bounce around 5, 6, 7 Forums at a time! It’s exhausting. And joining new forums is a pain. People tend to equate knowledge to post count & length of member history. Not just that, but it’s also nauseating to have to traverse each Forum’s “Old Boys Club”, generally comprised of one or more over zealous Moderators, as well as a number of tag along members, generally with long forum history.
While I don’t want to see a Savage Forum turn into an everything under the sun forum, I do believe it beneficial to have a specific forum for ALL other types of rifles. A maybe splitting that into an “Other Bolt Action”, and “Semi Auto Rifle” sections.
It can get overwhelming to keep up with many forums too. A shooting reports sub would be nice too.
Sounds like a plan.

May draw more people. Just remember this site is for Savage owners or want to be.
I agree. Although Savage owners typically owners typically own other firearms as well.
