Hi. Ive been looking for a 0 MOA Pickatinny rail for my 12 LRPV. single shot left port 223. Saw one on Amazon with a bubble level for $40. When asking the seller whether it will fit my rifle, they're telling me they've no idea and to call Savage as if Savage knows what type rail they're manufacturing. So my question is this. Are all model 12 actions the same as far as the top where the screw holes are? Or are the LRPV and target actions different?
Thanks.

Savage rails will either be for short or long actions, since yours is short, that's what you need to get. The only other consideration is screw size for the rail. If the seller doesn't know whether their product fits Savage short or long actions that's a problem.

As stated, the only difference is Long vs Short Action. Also, Round vs Flat backs. If it came with an Accutrigger, it’s a Round back And yes, up through 2020, Rifles used either 6-48 or 8-40 screws, depending on model. However, by 2021, ALL Centerfire rifles used 8-40 screws ONLY.
