New to the forum, but not to shooting. I'm a retired RN, spent 34 years as an O.R. Nurse with 8 years in the USAFR as a Flight Nurse, was a Correctional Officer before becoming an RN. I live in the NC foothills and am a lifelong native of NC. I love shooting, I also reload and among other things I have four Savage/Stevens shotguns. I've been married for half my 71 years to the same wonderful woman and have two grown daughters. I hope to fit in here and learn as well as contribute.

Are you able to shoot from home ?

No, I live within a city limits and ordinances prohibit it. I wish I could, I have pasture behind me with a hill behind it, perfect backstop and I could shoot 200 yards from my back porch, or throw clays and shoot over the pasture. I'm a member of a hunting club though that's a 20 minute drive and can shoot 300 yard with rifle, 50 yards with pistol or shoot skeet, trap/5-stand or sporting clays.

@Double trouble Welcome to the forum! It looks to me like you’ve had an incredible career and a lifelong passion for shooting. What’s your favorite shotgun discipline there, skeet or trap?

I guess it would be skeet, but I enjoy 5-stand as well. I'm only average at any of the shotgun sports, but all of them are fun. My go-to shotgun is my CZ SxS but it seems most guys use either a semiauto or an over-under double. I feel like Jed Clampett, but SxS is what I prefer
