We all look forward to hearing about your results as you get to know your new Savage.
I have two .308 Savages, both with 24-inch barrels.
Interestingly, one shoots best with lighter bullets 155s and 168s and the other shoots best with 175s to 195s.
Sort of makes trying to find another shooter's pet loads irrelevant.
Both are accurate, but each has it's own preferences.
