Savage 110 Expanded Line

In above post, I meant HS stock.

Shot groups today, front action screw at 30"#, back at 15, then 20, 25. Progressively got worse, went down to 10"#, shot best 5 shot group at .34"....not acceptable.
Decided, for the price, quality and the fact I wanna skim bed it I ordered a Bell Carlson Savage M40Competition/ Varmint. This should complete my 110 rebuild. The Savage reciever/ bolt is the only thing original. Jard trigger, Criteion lapped barrel, Bell Carlson stock molded to my length of pull.....

Nothing wrong with that 17Hornet. Honestly, I’m almost positive I have the most ridiculously custom built Savage 10/110 on the face of the earth! The Stripped Action, Accutrigger, firing pin, & Cocking Sleeve are the ONLY factory parts on mine. But even my target Accutrigger has been modified. But it’s ok. For a long time, I wanted a Unique Savage rifle. A one-off. Took me some time to get to this level, but it was a fun ride.

One Ten, that is one sweet looking outfit, hope it shoots as well as it looks. And I agree with you about the journey of getting to different levels. Quite a trip, gives us old guys one heck of a hobby

It shoots much better than I’m able to anymore. And unfortunately, doesn’t get to stretch its legs like it should. At some point I’d like getting this 260AI out to 1000++ yards. Still, I am extremely happy with it. I’ve done every single mod myself. Action & Barrel & Chassis have been sand blasted & Cerakoted by Me, as well. And it’s fed ONLY my reloads. Combine all that with me being disabled & my left arm/hand 100% paralyzed, makes the whole thing kinda cool. (I think anyway.) I’m very proud of everything. It’s something special when a rifle comes out exactly as anticipated. This came out BETTER than I had hoped!
