Decided on my 6.5 Grendel. A Ruger American Gen 2 Predator.

I have the original Ruger American Predator in 204. Ditched the factory stock and set it in a Bell & Carlson. Also threw on a Glades Armory bolt handle. The trigger was able to be adjusted out of box good enough for predator hunting. It was a very dependable rifle when I was into tournaments.

I decided to go forward with my purchase. I have 2 coming in. The Ruger and a Howa mini action heavy barrel.
I like to post range results as i test loads. I'll also give an assessment when i get them home.
The rifles are home. I cleaned them up. The Ruger one of the action screws was loose. Like just finger tight loose. I changed the trigger spring on the Ruger. 15.6 oz average trigger pull.
The Howa barrel hits the stock badly.
Legacy is sending me a stock for heavy barrel. I do plan on getting a Boydes thumb hole stock in the future.

The Howa barrel hits the stock badly.

I sanded the one that came with it for now. It's now free floated. That way i can shoot it for now.
This is awesome! Hope it's good.
Since i don't have to send the stock back. I stiffened it with JB weld in the channel. I also bedded the action. A quick bedding for now. I used aluminum duct tape.
The Grendel's are ready for the range.
