My old Harris bipods or my newer Sinclair F-Class bipods wouldn't have a prayer of connecting to that stud.
CoalCrackerAI is probably right. You need to install another stud.
But wIth a bipod attached, you don't have to worry about the rifle sliding smoothly on a front rest.
But if you use a rear rest like I do, I would definitely take off the rear stud because the rear stud will bounce on a rear rest.

I got spoiled with my rock front rest. No more bi-pods for me.

I'll pull the barreled action and see if there is any meat under there that would securely support a stud and bipod.
And if anyone is interested, the rifle's first shots put a .450 Bushmaster handload of Accurate 45-290K, 296 grains, sized .452 and powder coated, over less than a dozen grains of Unique into a ragged hole at 25 yards with a dead Burris scope that's going back for repair. I was just trying to see if the scope would track and it wouldn't. Chrono said avg 1,213 fps, SD 4.4. It fed this Keith-style bullet just fine, and oh so pleasant to shoot. That load out of a Blackhawk in .45 Colt would be considered a humdinger.

When i put studs in polymer stocks for folks. I reinforce it with Epoxy.

Have fresh JB Weld epoxy on hand.

Yeah, that’s all. Use 2-part epoxy & add a screw as far forward as possible.
It’s always best to go as far forward as possible. This makes for less movement in the muzzle impacted from the rear. When I made my bipod, I took Versapod’s idea of using a spigot to move it forward of the forearm.
Here is the bipod separated from the spigot.
And attached to my Savage bench rifle.
I’ve always used Bipods, but I am thinking of switching to a rest.
