Quick Tip: Older Adjustable & Newer 1-Piece FP Strikers can be swapped.

If you have problems with light primer strikes or try something different, the adjustable firing pin striker assemblies can completely replace the 1-piece firing pin setup. You just need the full FP assembly, the Cocking Piece Sleeve & solid BAS (Bolt Assembly Screw- and actually, the 2019+ BAS with the hole in the center could be used with some modification.) All the parts can be purchased from Gun Shack. This firing pin setup allows not only proper adjustment for pin protrusion, but also allows use of the Lift Kit with single, center bearing ball, which work better. Also, it will never have a problem with light primer strikes & does away with the goofy “indicator” for a cocked firing pin. The pic below shows the two together. All other parts work with either FP style.



Here are the only parts needed. And again, the BAS isn’t absolutely needed, as the 2019+ BAS can be modified.

I've had some German milsurp (AM2030) take a noteworthy dent and still require hitting a couple of times to properly yeet, so this looks like a nice upgrade path to ensure more reliable primer strikes.

I'm interested to see what's inside the 2026 110 Rimfire Bolt assembly when I finally find one available. Your 2025 110 has the adjustable Striker FP? Did you buy it new? If so, that is something I’ve never heard of?? ALL the Striker pins were changed to the 1-piece in 2019. Certainly by 2020 on, NO 110 should have been available with an Adjustable FP.

The only reason I took it apart was because it was a brand new rifle and I like to make sure everything's in order before I pulled the trigger. I didn't realize that anything was supposed to be different so there was no surprise to me. I guess I haven't noticed that they changed firing pins somewhere along the line. I will count myself fortunate because I like working on what I know and I don't see any advantage to the new design that you described.

WOW! Man, that’s wild! I thought they were extinct now.

Yes, I’m the same way. Actually, just about every part of mine has been replaced with aftermarket, LOL! I use a custom spring, a Titanium Bolt Sleeve, Bolt Handle & BAS. The Bolt Head Retention Cross Pin & Cocking Piece Pin are also Titanium, but I machined those myself. And I use a PTG Billet Bolt Head with Lumley Extractor/Ejector kit. Only the FP Striker Pin, Front & Rear Baffles & flat spring, Cocking Piece with washers & Cocking Sleeve are factory. So, yeah. I like messing around with EVERYTHING!

I’m still stumped on yours being a 2025 model with the adjustable striker?? There is simply ZERO chance that should be! But it is. It’s almost like a glitch in The Matrix or something. But hey, good on ya for it! Honestly, if I were to get a newer 110 with the 1-piece striker, it’s among the first things I’d change.

I did the first adjustable striker FP swap on an Axis also. Actually, the only one I’ve seen. The Axis had a bunch of light primer strike issues throughout. The adjustable striker would have remedied this.
