On a Model 110 SA I have with a 20MOA factory rail I am using an Athlon Argos 10-40X56 scope along with Athlon rings. The problem I am facing is that I cannot move the scope back any further as it is already in the last grooves and the rings are just about all the way up to the turrets. Tube length behind the turrets is only 1.5"

Looking for a solution. Right now I feel too far forward on the stock. Almost stretching forward.

Canted rings. Point them back. Or put both rings on the front part of the scope. The Germans used to do that. I have the same scope on my Axis. And had the issue.

Get an offset mount (cantilever) scope mount & mount it backwards. They are traditionally made for AR15’s, but work in your situation.

Like this.

Your other option is moving BOTH scope rings to the front portion of the scope tube. In front of the turrets, as CoalCracker mentioned. That would allow plenty of back travel.

The Athlon Argos 10-40 is an oddly designed setup. Unfortunately, it calls for strange mounting most of the time.
