Blaser Fans ?

Way before Savage entered the straight pull rifle arena I was a big fan of straight pull rifles.
Started with a Browning T bolt .22lr and when I got older and paid better I acquired a Left hand Blaser R93 in 30-06.
Started shooting PRS and other longer range comps and found a deal on jewel Left hand Blaser TacII in .308.
When the R8 model was introduced I sold my R93 and saved my pennies to buy one chambered in .300Wsm, as I built a few rifles and worked up loads for friends chambered in 270 + 300 Wsm that were very accurate and wanted one of my own.
I've upgraded it over the years by getting the barrel threaded, added a brake and a carbon fiber stock.

That is one seriously upgrade path going from a fun little Browning .22 to high-end Blaser rigs is awesome. Custom .300 WSM sounds like an absolute beast of a rifle! Is that the R8 or an Axis?

My uncle would let me use the T-bolt.
He was a dairy farmer and only had two firearms, both Brownings.
The T-bolt and an A5, both Belgium made.
It was almost 30 years from the T bolt to the Blaser and the R93 was used, but in great shape.
The R8 was customized by me and is a great rifle, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to some of the higher end Blaser rifles out there.
That's the R8 in the pic.
I haven't used a turn bolt rifle in the field or range for a long time.
