I have 1 lb of each and looking for a use for it. Has anyone had good luck with it in a 223R? If so, what bullets did you use it with?
Thanks.

I have not used in .223, actually don’t even own one. I do have a .222Mag
Both are on the fast side, 4198 or a shade faster. I wouldn’t be surprised if you found an accuracy load with lighter bullets. In my opinion and experience too fast if you are working with anything heavier than 55gr bullets or are trying for as much velocity as you can get.

I never worry about how fast a load is. Only care about accuracy. I mainly shoot Sierra 52 gn HPBT match bullets and only 300 yds and under. My go to powder with them has been H322, but during covid it became unobtainable . One day I saw 1 ea of LT30 and 32 for $35 so I just bought them. Now I think I need to find a use for it.

I have never used LT30 or LT32.
Most of my most accurate .223 light bullet data, 55gs and under, is with N133. I did try H335 but N133 performed better.
I got slightly better accuracy from the Flat base 53 gr SMKs #1400, and 52 gr Berger FB #22408 rather than the 52 gr SMKs #1410.
I actually got my best accuracy using 52 gr Hornady ELD-M #22491.
The 52 gr ELD-Ms performed slightly better than the Hornady 53 gr Match #2250 and 53 gr Hornady V-Max #22265.
Most of that data came from my Savage 12FV 1:9 twist 26-inch factory barrel that was replaced after 9,030 rounds.

I have concentrated most of my use of the new Shilen 1:7 twist barrel on that rifle with bullets 69 grs to 90 grs.
I guess I ought to at least try some light bullets just to see how then might do, but the chamber is so deep, the jumps would be enormous.

With those parameters I think you may be on to something with them
Shoot Straight
