I did a free trigger mod on my axis and I wasn't sure if I can post it along with a couple photos an if I can would anyone be interested?it's a non accutrigger model (yes a wallymarts rifle) and it lightens the trigger pull and eliminates a lot of the side to side play which I found very un nerving. Also I'm not sure what category to post it under as I haven't seen a category for mods or changing, swapping parts doing repairs.
From what I've seen this is still a fairly new forum and it's just getting started good so I'm looking for advice an direction so I can avoid causing problems and getting myself or others in trouble.

Thanks I wasn't sure if it was a thing to go in the maintenance and cleaning or the other topic listed next to that. Like I was saying I don't want to violate any forum rules or policies by posting it or even if there's enough interest to make it worth posting.
It's a free mod just cost a little time and I include a disclaimer whenever I post a modification somewhere be it here or another forum.

Ok thanks, it's going to be frigid and crappy here for the next 4-5 days so I'll get better pictures of what I did and post it. It took the factory trigger pull from just about 5lbs down to a noticeable 3lbs which is fine for what I need since it's used in the woods pastures and broken fields, I'd rather have the 3lbs than have a hair trigger crawling through scrub after a coyote or armadillo or one of those nasty wild hogs that are moving further northward every year. If I were to build another one as a precision rifle I'd take the hair trigger 😃👍

I agree that having a trigger in the 3 lb. range would be just about the right choice for a hunting rifle.
I'm past the age where I want to freeze by butt off in the woods waiting for game to arrive.
I'm just an old bench shooter these days and prefer a lighter trigger for bench shooting.

I only go out in the really cold for 3 reasons, to kill something that's just begging to be unsubscribed, to do something that just absolutely cannot be put off till warmer temps, or to go somewhere I feel is very important...to me.
I don't have trespassers to deal with much these days old men with guns tend to make some people drive on by an that's just fine by me...an my cousin down the road...an the other guy in-between us and his wife she's a natural redhead that's self explanatory.
Old, bitter, and we're all equipment operators two of us own excavation equipment 😉😆

This pretty much describes the mile section "neighborhood" I live in , oh an that's not me I'm not that good looking...but Fred is me
