Wondering if anyone is using a Nightforce scope with their Mil-C Reticle. I’m curious, and looking at their new line. But I’m not sold on their reticle options. My 2 choices are the Mil-C & Mil-XT. The XT just looks crowded. The C looks a bit “scrunched” up actually. But on paper it looks the better of the two. I don’t know. 🤷 Anyway, just wondering people opinion who are using them. Pictures of the two below.

I find those reticles distracting for target shooting. I use the NP2DD reticles - simple and easy to get the reticle right on the POA.
If I was shooting at varying distances, or hunting from a blind or a spot where I had ranged a lot of different locations, those reticles would be very valuable in adjusting the POA quickly.
Wind adjustments would still be a guess, I suppose, since wind is rarely consistent over long distances and is more impacting closer to the target when the bullet velocity is decreasing. And that is exactly where you can't measure in advance.

The NP2DD reminds me of a reticle for a Prism sight. Similar to what I use on my AR/AK.

But I do prefer some type of cross bars with hash marks for a long range reticle. Allows the shooter to range their target without laser range finder. They do look different when viewed on ACTUAL scenery, vs the picture on screen. Here’s an outside view of the Mil-XT.

In any case, I’m looking at the Nightforce NX6 5-30x56. It’s still way above my settled price point for a scape, but, eh.. Who knows.
